The Manchester Wayfarer ticket, which covers rail and Metrolink, is a good option if you are travelling from Northwich and stations towards Manchester, particularly the Over 60s version for £6. The adult version is £12.

The first train to depart Chester is 0834 and the last train 1834.

The first train to depart Altrincham is 0946 and the last train 1946.

There are details on the Northern website regarding bus services to Aintree from Liverpool Lime Street.

- Alternatively, real time travel information can be obtained
  from http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/service/planjourney/search
- Check before travelling via the above websites is the overriding message
- Check out other modes of transport to your workplace, such as buses / trams / park & ride
