There are bus replacement services on the Mid Cheshire Line on Sunday 31st March 2013 ....
Rail services on the Mid Cheshire Line are replaced by buses between Manchester Piccadilly and Altrincham all day because of engineering work between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport.
Note:
All Northern Rail services between Manchester Piccadilly and Altrincham are replaced by buses.
National Rail tickets to and from all stations between Mouldsworth and Navigation Road to and from Manchester and beyond are valid on the Metrolink Altrincham line between Altrincham and Piccadilly/Victoria on Sundays.
Other services that are affected include:
Arriva Trains Wales
Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Carmarthen / Milford Haven / Pembroke Dock are diverted between Manchester Piccadilly and Wilmslow and will not call at Stockport.
Customers are advises to use alternative road / rail services to / from Stockport.
CrossCountry
Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Birmingham New Street are diverted between Manchester Piccadilly and Stafford and will not call at Stockport, Macclesfield and Stoke-on-Trent.
A connecting bus service will run between Stockport and Stafford.
East Midlands Trains
Trains between Norwich and Liverpool Lime Street are diverted between Chinley and Manchester Piccadilly and will not call at Stockport.
A connecting bus service will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport
First TransPennine Express
Trains between Cleethorpes and Manchester Airport are diverted between Chinley and Manchester Piccadilly and will not call at Stockport.
Customers to / from Stockport should travel to Manchester Piccadilly and change for a bus connection to / from Stockport.
Northern Rail
The following alterations will apply:
Virgin Trains
Trains between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly are diverted between Wilmslow and Manchester Piccadilly.
A connecting bus service will run between Wilmslow and Stockport.
