LATE FEBRUARY AND MARCH 2020 BUS REPLACEMENTS

29th February 2020 - 8th March 2020

There is engineering work on the Mid Cheshire Line in late February and early March 2020 ....

On Saturday 29th February 2020 ....

After 20:20 buses will run Stockport-Altrincham and trains will run Altrincham-Chester.

Passengers travelling to/from Manchester should use alternative services between Piccadilly and Stockport.

On Sunday 1st March 2020 ....

Replacement buses services will run all the day in both directions between Chester and Manchester Piccadilly.

From Monday 2nd March 2020 to Thursday 5th March 2020 (inclusive) .....

The 22:01 Chester to Manchester Piccadilly is retimed to depart Stockport at 23:22 and will call additionally at Heaton Chapel and Levenshulme arriving at Manchester Piccadilly at 23:35.

The 22:52 Chester to Manchester Piccadilly is replaced by a bus* throughout.

The 23:41 Manchester Piccadilly to Chester is replaced by a bus* throughout.

*There are two buses replacing each train. A bus runs at 23.41 from Piccadilly to Chester, setting down only from Knutsford onwards and another bus runs at 23.29 from Knutsford to Chester calling at or near all stations. Similarly a bus runs at 22.52 from Chester to Piccadilly, setting down only from Knutsford onwards whilst another bus runs at 23.37 from Knutsford to Piccadilly calling at or near all stations. The bus times for each station can be found in the Journey Planner on the National Rail website or by ringing National Rail Enquiries on 03457 48 49 50.
