Buses will replace trains on the Mid-Cheshire Line on Sunday 26th June (until 16.30 only), Saturday 2nd July (all day), Sunday 3rd July (all day) and Sunday 10th July (until 16.30 only) as Network Rail carries out essential engineering work on the line.
On Sunday 26th June and Sunday 10th July trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Altrincham via Stockport (not Metrolink trams) will be replaced by buses until 16.30. Trains will run between Altrincham and Chester until 16.30. After 16.30 a normal train service will operate.
On Saturday 2nd July trains will run between Manchester Piccadilly and Altrincham with buses replacing all trains between Altrincham and Chester.
On Sunday 3rd July trains will operate between Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport with buses replacing all trains between Stockport and Chester. Rail tickets can be used on Metrolink services between Manchester Victoria/Piccadilly and Altrincham on Sundays only. Passengers are asked to allow more time for their journeys on these dates because the buses will take longer than the train to do the journey.
Note. Special arrangements are in hand for those attending the Live Concerts at Delamere on Saturday 2nd July and Sunday 3rd July.
