From the Foreword
David Briggs MBE KStJ, The Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire says ....
Visit Cheshire and you will find it remarkably well served by railways and stations.
Cheshire is a county of many destinations.
You may be travelling on business, for pleasure and relaxation or just passing through one of our busy junction interchanges.
Stations are the beginning and end of journeys. They are the setting for meeting and parting. They provide the first and last impressions of a place you visit.
But why are Cheshire's Railway Stations different and best?
The secret lies in our unique community spirit - whether that be our warm hearted and obliging railway staff or the many local volunteers who tend our smaller stations.
In 2013, Cheshire Railway Stations have been celebrating.
Enjoy the story of why Cheshire Celebrates and when visiting our stations look out for the many signs that tell you why Cheshire’s Stations are Best.
