THE LINCOLNSHIRE POACHER

Next year is MCRUA’s 25th Anniversary so we are looking to run our best Railtour ever – with something for everyone.

Yes it is a time to celebrate so:

  – for the Heritage Hunter … we are off to Lincoln to see the
Cathedral, Castle and take some retail therapy

  – for the Connoisseurs of Real Ale … at Wainfleet we have an
optional trip around a Victorian Brewhouse

  – for those who enjoy Nostalgia and a Seaside Special … our final
    destination is Skegness

We could not resist Skegness – home of the Jolly Fisherman and a town that owes its success to the Railway Excursion.

You can even take a Seaside peep at the Jolly Fisherman Poster on our website. Skegness is so Bracing!

Date: Saturday 5th May 2012

Destination: Lincoln, Wainfleet (for the Batemans Brewery Tour) and the seaside town of Skegness

Departures from: Most Mid Cheshire Line Stations, Stockport and Reddish South.  Regretably our Railtour cannot now call at Marple.

The Train: Mk II air conditioned coaches hauled by a Class 66 diesel locomotive.

We now only have limited accomodation on the Railtour.
