STOCKPORT COMMUNITY RAIL FESTIVAL

Come along and enjoy a fun day at Stockport Railway Station featuring stands from various rail organisations including the Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partneship and Mid Cheshire Rail Users Association (MCRUA).

There will also be displays of steam and diesel locomotives.

The celebration starts at 0930hrs and concludes at 1600hrs.

There will also be an illustrated talk on Stockport Public Transport in the days of steam.

The talk is being presented by Paul Shackcloth a local railway historian and author.

The talk, “Stockport in the days of Steam and Corporation Transport” will take place at 19:00 at the Stockport Art Gallery.

There is a nominal charge of £2.50 all proceeds to go to Royal British Legion.
