The Mid Cheshire CRP teamed up with nature expert Chris Moseley and Northwich Amblers walk leader Chris Charles to do a walk from Cuddington to Delamere stations.
The walkers comprising of members of Northwich Amblers, Mid Cheshire Line station volunteers and some local conservation volunteers enjoyed this scenic stroll along the footpaths of the mid Cheshire countryside.
Chris Moseley who is a retired countryside ranger for Cheshire West and Chester pointed out some of the plants and wildflowers to be found along the way.
Community Rail Officer Sarah Muir walked at the back of the group to encourage everyone and make sure no one was left behind.
There was also ample opportunity for the walkers to enjoy a snack as the hedgerows were brimming with ripe blackberries.
The walk was completed at a leisurely pace and took three hours in total. On reaching Delamere everyone enjoyed refreshments and food at the Station House Cafe before catching the Northern train back to the starting point at Cuddington.
Everyone enjoyed the walk and the two Chris`s are keen to work with the CRP to organise another soon so please watch this space!!!
