The Community rail awards took place on 19th March at Derby Arena and was attended by CRO Sarah Muir,Northwich volunteer Peter Holland, Bev and Frank Robinson of Friends of Altrincham Interchange and Moira and Alan Percival representing Friends of Hale.
The evening celebrates the work of CRPs, groups and station volunteers across Britain.
Well done to Bev Robinson and Friends of Altrincham interchange who came second in the photography category for Bevs picture of the Hound Dog Blues taken on a Mid Cheshire Line Music Train.
Congratulations to Friends of Hale for making the short list for the ‘its your station’ awards as well as Mid Cheshire CRP and all who contributed to the Baton Relay event which was short listed for the Railway 200 legacy award. Friends of Altrincham also made the short list for this award as well as their win in the photography competition.
