Christmas has arrived at Chester Station!

On Wednesday 3rd of December Mid Cheshire CRP community rail officer Sarah Muir met with fellow rail officers Josie Rayworth and Chris Kinsella to help decorate the large Christmas tree at the station.

The stunning handcrafted Railway 200 themed decorations were created with the help of artist Sue Guildford and the young people of Cheshire Buddies and LIVE Cheshire.

The group which included Stephanie from Cheshire buddies had fun arranging the decorations, firstly on the top of the tree, which was then hoisted into place thanks to the helpful and tall Chester Station staff.

At 2pm the young people who created the decorations came down to admire the tree and were given goody bags by Josie Rayworth as a thank you for all their fantastic work.

Cheshire Buddies and LIVE Cheshire support young people with disabilities and their families and provide fun activities for them throughout the year. The project was funded by Mid Cheshire, North Cheshire and 3 Counties Connected CRPs.
