Knutsford to Northwich – Via Plumley and Lostock Gralam.
The group of walkers set off from Knutsford after a speech and send off from the Mayor. Once going through the town, we were soon in the countryside heading towards Plumley. Through fields containing livestock or newly ploughed ones, we walked alongside the train track for a while before heading towards the small village of Plumley. The Golden Pheasant kindly opened its doors a littler earlier so the walkers could avail themselves of their facilities and a quick drink for some!
The baton was handed to the next walk leader who took us to Lostock Gralam alongside the rail track with a friendly wave from the signal box operator as we passed. We set off on the final leg towards Northwich station along the roadway. Another great day of walking in the sunshine with people joining and leaving along the way. the baton was carried from Knutsford to Northwich.
