Altrincham to Knutsford – Via Hale, Ashley and Mobberley.
Day 3 hailed another sunny day for the walks. We had a grand set off from Altrincham with several local dignitaries there to see the walkers off with speeches and photos to commemorate this occasion.
There were around 40 walkers who set off to Hale in the sunshine Where others joined before walking through the village and along the Bollin towards Ashley alongside Ashley Hall and over the M56.
Ashley again saw some new walkers join and more photos taken. Once done we set off across the fields of livestock and farmland towards Mobberley. On arrival all sat for a well-earned rest and refreshment at The Railway Inn before being joined by a few more walkers for the final leg to Knutsford. A lovely walk combining countryside and industrialisation to reach our destination.
Another great day on the baton relay walk! The baton was left in the safe hands of the walk leader for the following day before heading home on the train. to Knutsford.
