The Mid Cheshire Line Baton Relay to celebrate Railway 200 began on Monday 22nd September. The walking group led by Becky Styles and Owain Roberts from Northern gathered at Piccadilly Station where the group posed for some photos with the baton before boarding the train to Woodley. From here they walked to Tiviot Dale Remains, following an interesting route which included secret tunnels and bricked up air raid shelters, 2 horses on a football pitch and one on a playground!
But according to Peter holland, one of the walkers, the best part was constant sunshine and great company and a day to remember.”
