Poetry Board at Altrincham Interchange

Friends of Altrincham Interchange have created a themed poetry board for the Altrincham Interchange ticket office with poems taken from our new book Hare and Rabbit; Travels on a Train. This beautifully illustrated book of verse, funded by the rail partnership, was created by Altrincham based writer and artist Pam Bradshaw.

Each poem tells of the antics and adventures of best friends Hare and Rabbit at the various stop offs along the Mid Cheshire Line. Whether it’s trying on head gear at Stockport’s hat museum or bounding about through Delamare Forrest these best buddies learn about the value of fun and friendship.

Here`s Northern staff member Damien proudly posing next to the poetry board.

Pam will be working with schools and libraries in the coming year to hold some Hare and Rabbit themed poetry workshops which will hopefully inspire families to have their own adventures by rail.
