The main campus for Mid Cheshire College, a major Further Education Institute, is only 100 metres from Greenbank station. Mid Cheshire College has the highest success rate in Further Education in Cheshire and Warrington.

Greenbank station building has been sensitively redeveloped in recent years and is now home to Christ Church. More information about the Christ Church can be found at

Marshall's Arm Local Nature Reserve is a short walk from the station and is an area of woodland, grassland and wetland with different species of flowers and birds to be seen.  There are different routes into Marshall's Arm including one walk from St John's Church in Hartford:

Hartford is approximately one mile from Greenbank and has a number of small shops.

There is a station at Hartford on the Crewe - Liverpool Line. Liverpool is approximately 35 minutes away on this line.

Greenbank Railway Station has won three awards in the Cheshire Best Kept Station Competition. 

In 2011, it won the ACoRP for creative partnership working.

It also won awards in 2009 and 2010.
