JUNE MUSIC TRAIN FROM CHESTER TO PLUMLEY 16th June 2010
The Weavils, the four-piece band from the banks of the mighty River Weaver in Northwich, are playing and singing on the Music Train from Chester and at the Golden Pheasant pub in Plumley. The train leaves Chester at 19:07 and we return at 22:45.
The Weavils will be playing tunes from the far-flung corners of the world. Blues, Calypso, Jazz, Bossa Nova, Ska, Reggae, South African, Traditional Folk, Klezmer and Gloria Gaynor. "All played on the tuba and other noisy things which no-one else would bid for on EBay".
The music train uses one of the regular hourly services on the Mid Cheshire line. There is no charge for the event - just the price of your ordinary train ticket - remember to ask for a Northern Duo if there's two of you; the second person goes half price!
Your 'admission' is the train fare. Other than drinks and food at the pub, there is nothing else to pay - though there is a collection for the musicians at the end.
