Music Trains and Line Events

MID CHESHIRE LINE MUSIC TRAINS

Passengers on the Mid Cheshire Line have enjoyed 15 Music Trains between April and September 2009.

Nine have been Evening Music Trains and six were run during the successful Mid Cheshire Line Festival held on the 31st May.

Our main venue has been The Golden Pheasant Inn at Plumley. On the Line Festival Day bands were not only on the trains but at the Delamere Forest Visitor's Day.

John Oates, both Chairman of the Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership and Mid Cheshire Rail Users Association (MCRUA) said:

"The Mid Cheshire Line Music Trains have been a great success during 2009. I would like to thank all those involved in particular Mike Ross, who has organised the Trains, the Golden Pheasant Inn which has been our main venue, Northern Rail staff and all those volunteers from MCRUA who have given up their time to act as hosts both on the trains and at the venues.

The Community Rail Partnership is now planning next year's Music Trains and welcomes your suggestions and comments".
