Tea and Talk: Motherhood

Weaver Hall Museum
25th February 2016

From 3.00pm to 4.00pm
£1.50 including tea or coffee

Between 1860 and 1960 improvements in travel, power and communications allowed mothers  to aspire to a life outside the home, while developments in political equality, philanthropy, the workforce and fashion nurtured these ambitions.

This illustrated talk by Kate Harland will highlight the objects in our current temporary exhibition and show how they demonstrate the changes and similarities of a hundred years of motherhood.
