Stockport Beer and Cider Festival

Edgeley Park
29th May 2014 - 31st May 2014

The 28th Stockport Beer and Cider Festival will be at Edgeley Park, the home of Stockport County, less than 10 minutes from Stockport station, from 29th May to 31st May this year.

This year 80 or 90 different cask beers or more will be available during each session (while stocks last), plus ciders, perries and bottled conditioned beers from across Europe and the USA. New this year is a 'Bar Nouveau’ with up to a dozen cask beers which have never been seen before.

The use of the stadium gives festival goers the guarantee of a seat and the chance to drink outside during what it is to be hoped will be balmy summer days and evenings while downstairs great live entertainment is promised in the large entertainment suite.

The entertainment includes The Robin Sunflower Band (Thursday), Walthew House Steel Band (Friday lunch), Featuring Stavros (Friday evening) and Reckless Elbow (Saturday lunch). The headline act on the Saturday evening is the fabulous Kyla Brox Band. Kyla is the daughter of Manchester blues singer, Victor Brox and a Stockport girl so this promises to be a fabulous homecoming.

In addition as always is there an especially brewed festival ale, stalls, programme, souvenir T-shirts and glasses and hot and cold food. Families are very welcome in the stand and limited disabled access is available. The Festival is supporting local charity for the blind and deaf, Walthew House.

We open on Thursday 5.30-11, Friday 11.30-3.30 & 5.30-11 and Saturday 11.30-4.30 & 6.30-11.
