Steam School

Museum of Science & Industry
16th July 2013

Do you know anyone who is fascinated by old steam trains or just likes to drive unusual forms of transport?

A course at MOSI's steam school could be the perfect gift!

The half-day course will teach participants how to drive the battery loco as well as how to drive the Agecroft No. 1 loco and shunt wagons around MOSI's historic site.

Liverpool Road Station was the Manchester terminus of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway, the world's first purpose-built inter-city passenger railway. The original coach offices (passenger station), warehouse and intervening viaduct survive, making this the world's oldest railway station.

Courses operate during most months of the year on Tuesdays or Saturdays and you can choose from one of two slots:

Morning: 10am - 2.30pm
Afternoon: 12noon - 4.30pm

Booking is essential
