Evening Music Train to Chester

27th July 2016

Join the Mid Cheshire Line Music Train to the Alexander's at Chester ....

Marts ManJazz3 on both trains….three musicians from Mart Rodger’s Manchester Jazz....the jazz sounds of New Orleans, and Chicago….and British revivalist jazz of the 1940s and 1950s.

Louis Noble’s So What Now? leads the monthly Jazz Jam at Alexanders - the night sees a guest artist and a number of invited players to jam with the band.  We will hear jazz standards, classic Latin grooves and blues with their own brand of vibrancy, humour and most importantly with a whole lot of swing!

Book the package deal of food plus taxis to and from Chester station at www.alexanderslive.com

You may board this Music Train at Altrincham (1846hrs), Hale (1849hrs), Ashley (1853hrs), Mobberley (1856hrs), Knutsford (1901hrs), Plumley (1906hrs), Lostock Gralam (1910hrs), Northwich (1914hrs), Greenbank (1920hrs), Cuddington (1925hrs), Delamere (1930hrs) and Mouldsworth (1934hrs) stations.

What is a Music Train?

Music Trains are arranged by the Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership to promote the Line. The Music Train uses one of the Mid Cheshire Line’s regular hourly services to Manchester, operated by Northern Rail, which stops at all stations.

How it works - the band plays on the train - we take over a carriage. At our destination everyone alights to visit the pub for drinks and good food – and there is a further session from the band. There is no charge for the event - just the price of your ordinary train ticket. There will be a collection for the musicians. You can buy train tickets from staffed stations or from the conductor on the train - you can pay with a credit or debit card.
