Come and learn how to make lump charcoal using a ring kiln.

Delamere Mossland Officer Katie Piercy will guide you through the history of charcoal use in the UK, why local charcoal can be important for conservation and how charcoal is made.

Have a go at using an axe to process the wood ready for the kiln, filling and lighting the ring kiln.

Suitable for absolute beginners, no prior knowledge required.
