Carving Rock Salt

Lion Salt Works
6th July 2019

From 10.30am to 4.00pm
Free, but limited places

Led by local artist Pam Gordon, this workshop explores techniques of carving an unusual stone, halite.

You will be introduced to basic stone carving techniques, learn how to use the tools, map out a design, and carve in the round.

By the end of the day you will have carved a design onto a block of rock salt, and your finished sculpture will be displayed at ABDA Gallery in the town centre until 31 July.

Part of the Northwich Arts Festival.
