All Roads Lead to Rome

27th September 2015

‘All Roads Lead to Rome’ Chris Dobrowolski

Having lovingly repaired his father’s Triumph Herald Estate car, Chris embarked upon a road trip to Turin, Italy, where this quintessentially British car was designed. Join Chris as he reports back on his journey - as part investigation into the Italian Campaign of WWII and part muse on our growing materialistic culture.

With nothing more than a powerpoint, pointy stick, some kinetic sculptures and his sharp wit, Chris explores family history and the surprising connections between communism, consumerism and classic car mechanics.

He takes us from the personal to the political, across a great swathe of 20th Century history, all without leaving the driving seat of the Triumph Herald.
