Afternoon Tea at the Lift

The Anderton Boat Lift, known as one of the ‘Seven Wonders of the Waterways’ will be opening its outdoor marquee, known as the Lift View, for exclusive ‘once a month’ afternoon teas until the Autumn.

The Lift’s exclusive afternoon teas will be available from 1pm until 4pm.

The Lift is just a 10 minute walk to some of Cheshire’s most spectacular bluebells, located in the Hopyards Wood of Marbury Country Park and on show from late April to early May.

Located overlooking the River Weaver, the heated Lift View marquee, has as the name suggests, spectacular views of the Lift-the world’s first successful boat lift and an acknowledged masterpiece of engineering.

The up-market afternoon teas will comprise of a range of freshly-made sandwiches, delicious cakes and a selection of teas.

Prices start at £19.95 per person with a 25% reduction for anyone attending the inaugural tea on 21 April.
