From Lostock Gralam station a short walk brings you to the Trent & Mersey canal. A walk of just less than two miles takes you along the canal to the Lion Salt Works, the industrial heritage attraction and preserved example of the brine extraction method of salt production in Victorian times. Lostock Gralam station is within 500 metres of the Lostock Triangle Business Park, currently being developed.
