Why not become a Friend of the Mid Cheshire Line?
Stations between Mouldsworth and Navigation Road are managed by Northern Rail (Altrincham is also part managed by Metrolink) and there are always opportunities for volunteers to help at stations.
Volunteering mainly means helping to keep stations clean and tidy by litter picking or sweeping but there are usually opportunities for weeding, planting and other gardening tasks.
We particularly welcome new volunteers with artistic talents, those who work with young people and people who are knowledgeable about the history of the Line.
